This Is Shaq’s Massive Vehicle Collection
Shaquille O'Neal is such a famous basketball player that even people who have never watched a game probably recognize his name, and he's one of the highest-paid athletes around. Like many wealthy individuals, Shaq has one weakness when it comes to spending that fortune: vehicles. Whether it's a massive, Terminator-themed pickup truck, back-to-back Bentleys, or a three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot he can barely fit into, Shaq has got to have it. Read on to check out the outrageous car collection this NBA legend has racked up over the years.
Bulky But Beautiful
When it comes to bulky but luxurious cars, few can top a Hummer. Shaquille O'Neal is both a lover of cars and of living the life of luxury, so it's no surprise he owns a Hummer H2S. His choice of a deep burgundy color only adds to the mysterious and classy feel of the car.
Shaq loves Superman, which is why the rims are cut into the shape of the Superman logo. The shiny, silver rims really pop against the dark vehicle.
The Flashiest Truck Around
You know that Shaq loves this truck based on the expression on his face alone. It's as though he's saying, "That's right. Check me out." This golden beauty he's so proud of is a Ford F-150.
According to Daily Mail, the F series trucks have been the best-selling pickups for decades. However, Shaq was sure to make his standout in the crowd by adding metallic gold paint and by lifting the body significantly. This truck certainly matches Shaq in terms of being hard to miss.
Not A Bike... A Trike
When you have more money than one person could spend, you may as well buy everything custom. That's why Shaq hired Underground Garage to produce his very own custom Chopper Trike.
Someone as large and heavy as Shaq would be a bit safer on three wheels than two. Plus, just look at the size of that thing. If he laid on the ground, the three-wheeler might actually be as long as the 7'1" legendary basketball player.
A Little Something For The Great Outdoors
Where many people have to consider all of their activities when buying a car, Shaq has the luxury of owning a different car for any number of activities. For the outdoorsy trips, he has a Jeep Wrangler.
The Wrangler was also designed to be a more comfortable ride, which is important when you're a large individual. You also may have noticed that something looks different about this vehicle. That's because there are two extra-large doors instead of four.
You Can't Miss This One
Between being seven-foot-tall and a celebrity, Shaquille O'Neal is probably used to being a standout. That might be why he went with an eye-catching cherry red paint color for his Cadillac Escalade.
The ride wouldn't be complete without Shaq's trademark Superman logo. He had the front grill customized so that the logo sits right at the front of the car. Despite being tall, he likes the looks of lowered cars and had the height adjusted as well as the tires to hold the weight.
Keep An Eye Out For This Sports Car
It's not uncommon to dream of having a sports car. Even the least enthusiastic drivers get a thrill at the thought of racing around in a Ferrari. For a wealthy athlete like Shaq, he's going to pick the best of the best.
That's why he went with an Extended Ferrari 355 Spider. This model was built to improve the performance of other Ferraris. Obviously, a large man, like Shaq, may have some trouble squeezing into a sports car, so he adjusted the vehicle and removed the top.
Watch Out For This Slingshot
Though this Polaris Slingshot is considered a 4-Seater, we're not so sure more than one person could comfortably fit in the slender vehicle with Shaq driving. Then again, when you have the car budget that he does, you can afford to be a little unrealistic.
Speaking of unrealistic, this car doesn't offer airbags! That's why riders have to wear motorcycle helmets in certain dominions, according to The Drive. With a showy car like that, we're fairly confident it's only ever taken on a trip around the block anyways.
That's More Like It
The 4-Seater Polaris Slingshot was clearly not enough for a man of Shaq's stature. But when you have friends in high places, you don't have to worry about missing out on something for long.
This Super-Sized Polaris Slingshot with the Superman logo on the seats was obviously made with Shaq in mind. The grill makes the car look like a transformer while the wheels are clearly made to hold some weight. Now Shaq can feel like this machine was made for him.
A Legendary Brand For A Legendary Player
Something about the Cadillac DTS screams luxury. While it's not as flashy as some of Shaq's other cars, we imagine this would be his pick when he's headed to a business meeting.
Similar to his hummer, this car is painted deep burgundy which adds to its sleek and classic aesthetic. This beauty comes with a variety of options that we'd bet Shaq had to agree to, including chrome wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, and a heated steering wheel.
A Big Van For A Big Man
Every van is a minivan when you're Shaq, so it's no surprise that he went with this customized Chevrolet G1500 to ensure he would fit comfortably with several other riders.
When it came to customizing this car, he didn't have to worry about adjusting it so he could fit. Instead, he went with quilted Louis Vuitton leather seats so his entire family could ride comfortably. He also opted for custom rims so people walking by know that this is no ordinary van.
Nothing Can Dodge This Dodge
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is one powerful muscle car, perfect for a strong athlete like Shaquill O'Neil. With 707 horsepower thanks to it's 6.2 L HEMI V-8 engine, this vehicle can fly down the streets and whip around corners, even with a large athlete in the car.
Any car named "Challenger" is a good pick for one of the ultimate competitors in basketball. Shaquill O'Neil is not a force to be reckoned with, and neither is this car.
A Toy Car Or A Reverse Trike?
At first glance, it may look like Shaq is sitting in a really expensive adult toy car. However, if you ask Motorcycle.com, that Vanderhall Venice 3 Wheel Roadster is actually a reverse trike.
You can't see in this photograph, but there's only one wheel behind Shaq. Another surprise is that it isn't obscenely priced, ringing in somewhere between $30 and $50k depending on the model. The lightweight vehicle is fun to drive, but not realistic for more than play.
The Police Force Just Got A Lot Cooler
In case you're wondering why Shaquille O'Neal is pointed to a man wearing a police badge, that's because Shaq is now a sheriff's deputy in Georgia. Naturally, he needed a police car, but the NBA legend wasn't going to settle for just any old cruiser.
The Clayton County Police Department offered Shaq this Dodge Charger Hellcat Police Special to drive in. Driving around in one of his incredible cars is one thing, but doing so while working for the police force is quite another.
A Staple Vehicle In The Collection
Similar to the red Cadillac Escalade we saw earlier on, this black Range Rover sports the Superman logo Shaq loves so much on the car's grill. Everything else about the car looks relatively normal, except one other thing.
If you look closely, you can tell that the windows have been tinted. However, they aren't just slightly tinted; they're completely blacked out like a limousine, even in the driver's and passenger's sides. That all-sleek and shiny look makes this the classiest Range Rover yet.
Meet Big Hoffa
You know you're a star when you have a tour bus with your face on it. Shaq even named his beloved, customized tour bus "Big Hoffa" for reference. And he couldn't forget that super-sized Superman logo.
Big Hoffa here may be huge, but it's important to remember that the discomfort of being cramped while traveling for a long time is exemplified when you're Shaq's size. Plus, all of that room allows for a larger canvas for Shaq to plaster his image across.
The Most Luxurious Van Around
Since a tour bus can be a little ostentatious, Shaq also has this beautiful van to transport himself and a large group of others. However, this isn't a typical car. It's a customized Sprinter Mercedes Van, which means it's about as luxurious as a van can be.
The amenities of this vehicle you would expect in a house rather than a van. It has white, quilted seats, hardwood floors, a flat-screen television, and an iPad.
A Stylish Mercedes Benz
This Mercedes Benz S550 has a few features that make it an ideal convertible for someone like Shaq. For one, it has four doors instead of two, which isn't always the case with convertibles.
Another benefit is that there isn't a partition between the front and back windows. The extra space makes it easier for Shaquille to get in and out of the vehicle without bumping into anything. He also modified the side vents and the tire rims for an extra touch of style.
Come With Me If You Want To Drive
This Ford F-650 was painted with the Terminator in mind. The hood and the rear have images of a robotic face modeled after that popular franchise, and flames along the top half.
Below the doors is a step with more terminator faces and red eyes peeking out. While this hunk of metal may look like a powerful giant, it only gets about 7 miles to the gallon according to autoevolution. Once again, this vehicle is all for show.
Shaq's Big Diesel
You know you've made it when you can get away with sticking a "Big Diesel" license plate on your Rolls Royce. In all fairness, it does have a 6.75 L engine and at half a million dollars, it better be well equipped.
The body of the car is a comfortable fit for a sedan thanks to its boxy shape. The blue color is eye-catching, but not cheesy. The last thing you'd want to do is lower the prestige of such a luxury vehicle.
Shaq's Biggest Purchase Yet
Shaq sat down with Vanity Fair in 2012 and confessed that he'd made a rather abrupt purchase when he was younger that, looking back, he can't help but disapprove. The NBA player was still with the Lakers when he decided to stop in at a Rolls-Royce dealership.
After seeing Mike Tyson purchase multiple Bentleys, he asked the salesman what the price was for one. When the salesman doubted that Shaq could afford it, the heated celebrity decided to buy three right away out of spite. As Shaq put it, "A million dollars gone in 10 minutes."
Built For Shaquille
When most people think of buying a car, they don't imagine having to put it together themselves. Initially, that's how the Vaydor worked. It was a kit that could be purchased and then added to an existing vehicle.
Later on, the kit was expanding into a ready-to-go vehicle that would cost a whopping $150,000. Super Craft built this one up for Shaq with plenty of leg room. Even though he's more of a Superman person, it's worth noting that the same model belonged to the Joker in the film Suicide Squad.
The King Of Speed And Comfort
It seems like whenever there isn't a Superman logo on his car, Shaq is sure to wear one on his t-shirt. That must be why he's wearing one while posing with one of the workers at Droptop Customs and this convertible Dodge Challenger they customized for Shaq.
Between the suede-leather seats and the V-8 fuel injected powertrain, it's safe to say this is a nice ride to take out on the town. This is one of Shaq's cars that lands right on the line where comfort meets fun.
Just The Right Size
This Ford F-650 is the same model as the Terminator one we saw earlier, but without the outlandish theme. While Shaq normally customizes his vehicles so each one has his own unique spin on it, this one is predominantly true to its origin.
The 6.7L V8 Turbo engine and 725 lb-ft torque make this giant truck worth the six-figure price tag. Despite being a hardly but average-looking truck, the chrome steps and rims add just enough flare for Shaq's taste.
Even Shaq Can Squeeze Into A Smart Car
Between all of his gas-guzzling trucks, vans, and SUVs, Shaq had to balance out his CO2 emissions somehow. Unfortunately, smart cars and large athletes aren't always the best mix.
Good on Shaquille for making the effort to squeeze into this Mercedes smart car, anyways. The photograph was captured in New York City, which is so packed that most people opt to avoid driving altogether. If you're going to sacrifice space, it's going to be in one of the most compact cities out there.
How Low Can Your Lambo Go?
This stretched Lamborghini Gallardo barely comes up to Shaq's hips. It certainly shows off his love of lowered cars, being that the body of the car is nearly touching the street. You wouldn't want to fly over a speed bump in this car, that's for sure.
Shaq must have to squat down to the floor just to shimmy into this vehicle. However, there appears to be plenty of room lengthwise for his long legs, and the sleek design is great for speed.
Where Class Meets Function
The Buick Lacrosse was built to be a smooth ride with ample control. It also is rather roomy for being so sleek. These may be a couple of the reasons why Shaq has endorsed the brand.
While some of the cars in his collection make him seem like a kid trying out a new toy, when Shaq appears in Buick commercials he always looks business official. The athlete did get an MBA in Business to break stereotypes, and his Buick Lacrosse may have helped break a few more.
The First Of Many
All collections must start somewhere. As for Shaq's mound of impressive vehicles, it all began with a Ford Bronco II. The advantage of this car was pretty much limited to its spacious build.
The car was discontinued after years of poor performance reviews by critics. While it seems odd that the great Shaquille O'Neal would own a car that had poor sales, this was long before he became a star. It goes to show that everyone had to start somewhere.
His Grown-Up Ford
Considering the fact that Shaq started out with a Ford SUV, it seems only fitting that he would end up also owning a Lincoln Navigator. The model is the luxury counterpart to Ford's Expedition, which was the successor of the Ford Bronco.
Despite all of his luxury cars over the years, there's something symbolic about returning to the twice-upgraded version of the car he had as a kid. Now he can modify it and truly make it his own.
A Car Can Only Do So Much
All of the cars in the world wouldn't be enough to explore the ocean. That's why Shaq had to get a yacht. TMZ captured a few photos of Shaq and friends leaping off the yacht near the coast of Spain.
When he first made the purchase, he took to Facebook to ask for name suggestions. Few responders took the task seriously, so he was met with some sarcasm and jokes. Kudos to the celebrity athlete for at least keeping the fans in mind.
Time For An Upgrade
In case you're wondering, no, you're not experiencing deja vu. We had previously show you a car that looks just about identical to this one. The difference? This one is a newer version of the Cadillac Escalade from earlier.
In addition to having a massive amount of cars, most of which he has taken care to deck out, Shaq also enjoys the occasional upgrade. It may seem redundant to get a newer version of the same car, but to someone as wealthy as Shaq it's comparable to getting an upgraded phone.
Floyd Mayweather's Koenigsegg
Boxer Floyd Mayweather's Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita cost him $4.8 million. The extravagant vehicle has a carbon-fiber made body and has integrated fuel for optimum performance. The acceleration reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and has a braking distance of 32 meters.
With an estimated net worth of $400 million, Mayweather is a two-time winner of The Ring magazine's Fighter of the Year award, a three-time winner of the Boxing Writers Association of America Fighter of the Year award, and a six-time winner of the Best Fighter ESPY Award. He's been called one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Kim Kardashian's Ferrari
Reality-TV Star Kim Kardashian's Ferrari F430 is just one of the many impressive cars in her vehicle collection. The F430 comes with a 4.3-liter V8 petrol engine and accelerates to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds. The reality star reportedly bought the car when she was dating Reggie Bush back in 2009. The estimated value of the car is $186,925, but she's not been seen driving the car lately.
She apparently prefers her Bentley Continental, and those sightings have been hotly promoted by Bentley. With the long list of perfume and diet pills that she endorses, it's also possible that Ferrari just hasn't offered her a deal to endorse their car.
Ralph Lauren's Bugatti
Ralph Lauren owns one of only two Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantics cars, worth an estimated $40 million. The 1938 model is Ralph's prized possession, made from a light but flammable magnesium alloy called Elektron. It's considered a monument to pre-war Europe, and it won the Concorso d'Eleganze Villa d’Este.
One source said, "It’s a beautiful car, but not $40 million beautiful. Then again in that rarefied air, you’re not paying for value, but for exclusivity. Still, anyway I try to slice it, I can’t help but think that $40 million for a car is ridiculous."
Range Rovers Are Kate Moss' Style
In 2014 Kate Moss was spotted at the Range Rover dealership in London, where she drove away with a new model in black. She trusts the car maker with her safety, as Moss was involved in a car accident while sitting in the back of her previous Range Rove in September of 200.
A chauffeur was driving the model to a Vogue fashion shoot when he collided with another car at high speed and set the Rover on its side. Moss was airlifted to the hospital but was found to only have minor injuries. Looks like she's a Range Rover owner for life!
Tom Cruise Has Plenty of Whips
Actor Tom Cruise not only has plenty of cars in his garage, but motorcycles, too. One of his flashiest vehicles has to b the Bugatti Veyron. Built by Volkswagen, the mid-engine sports car has an incredible top speed of 253 miles per hour, making it the fastest street-legal production car in the world.
Cruise was one of the first people to buy the car, and he drove it to the premier of Mission Impossible III, stunning fans. Other cars in his collection include a Ford Mustang Saleen S281 and a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette.
Clint Eastwood Drives a GMC Typhoon
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Clint Eastwood revealed which vehicle he drives. Fallon guessed that he drove either a muscle car or a truck, and the answer was quite surprising. "I drive a Typhoon," Eastwood said. "A GMC Typhoon. It's actually a turbo V6, it's fast."
The high-performance SUV was only produced from 1991 to 1993. According to Kelly Blue Book, a 1993 GMC Jimmy Typhoon is valued at $11,448, which is a low-cost vehicle for an actor who has a net worth of $375 million.
Patrick Dempsey's Jaguar
It's a perfectly beautiful car for one of the hottest celebrity you can think of! Unlike some of his fellow celebs, Patrick Dempsey is not one to leave his vintage 1954 Jaguar XK120 in the garage. It's one of the most iconic cars in automobile history, and he regularly drives it around LA. The old-school vehicle is classified as a British roadster. The Telegraph voted the automobile "The World's Most Beautiful Car" back in 2008.
Of course, beyond owning beautiful cars, Dempsey is also the owner and co-driver of Dempsey Racing. He's been compared to James Garner, Paul Newman, and Steve McQueen as an up-and-coming actor-driver to watch. In an interview with Architectural Digest, he said that his dad raced cars and that he'd bring home Matchbox cars for his son. "The older you get, the bigger the Matchboxes get," he said
Conor McGregor Celebrates Early With A Fleet Of Rolls Royce
Before he joined Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the boxing ring, UFC fighter Conor McGregor appeared to use some of his guaranteed $100 million from the fight ahead of time to purchase a new fleet of Rolls Royce. Yes, a fleet. The Irishman purchased three Rolls Royce models: a Wrath, a Dawn, and a Ghost.
The trio cost him an estimated $750,000 so he has plenty left in the bank. Although he has homes in Las Vegas and Dublin he was spotted driving one of the Rolls Royce in New York City so its anyone's guess where he stores them.
Nicki Minaj's Custom Pink Lambo
Barbie obviously has to have a pink sports car! Nikki's custom-made pink Lamborghini cost her a cool $450,000 and is decked out with two pairs of Forgiato wheels at 700-horsepower. Of course, who could forget the infamous "scissor" doors. It's the mark of a Lamborghini.
The female rapper also has a pink Range Rover and a pink Bentley to match. Since she's worth a reported $45 million, she's got the right to fulfill her passion for bright-pink, even if it made the cost of the hot car rise exponentially. In case you're curious, Chris Brown also bought one of these hot cars, and he painted it like a Nike shoe.
Miley Cyrus' Maserati
Miley Cyrus' 2014 white Maserati is worth an estimated $100,000. The sports car is a three-speed automatic, with 260 units of horsepower. Always the center of controversy and drama, Miley's Maserati was recently stolen by two young burglars, but it was recovered in Simi Valley. Naomi Charles and Tyler Scott were arrested and plead guilty to burglary, which also included jewelry, purses, and clothing from Miley's house.
They were lured by fame and inspired by The Bling Ring, who infamously robbed Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox, Rachel Bilson, Ashley Tisdale and Lindsay Lohan. Like the Bling Ring, Charles and Scott were identified from surveillance video.
Kylie Jenner's Spider
Kylie Jenner's Ferrari 458 Spider was an 18th-birthday present from her then-rapper boyfriend, Tyga. They then had the sports car custom wrapped with gray, matte finish and costs a cool $260,000. The car is equipped with a 4-liter V8 engine. Pedal to the metal, you can reach 9,000 rpm with 562-the horsepower.
Kylie's sister, Kendall, bought a matching Ferrari on the same day. For her part, Kylie has a fleet of other cars in her garage, including a white Range Rover Autobiography, a black Mercedes-Benz G63 SU and a white Rolls Royce Ghost, plus you'll find a Mercedes-Benz Maybach and Ferrari 458 Italia.
Britney Spears' SL 500
Britney Spears always has a knack for being the center of attention, with controversy, love, and her penchant for expensive stuff. She's also adept at picking luxury vehicles, and the pop icon's favorite car is probably her Mercedes SL 500. The white convertible is one of the biggest-selling MB models of all time and reaches 60 mph in just four seconds!
The car's interior comes with a German wood trim and has "magic vision control." She got the car when she was still hobbling around with crutches, and media reported that the car was a way to keep her mind off the physical therapy.
Sofia Vergara's Mercedes
Hot ladies must think alike! Modern Family star Sofia Vergara also owns a Mercedes-Benz S-Class model, similar to Britney's but with slight differences. After all, the luxury vehicle has been manufactured for over six decades and is the world's best-selling sedan. With a twin-turbocharged engine, it isn't hard to understand why it's such a popular car.
With an estimated net worth of $120 million, this hot car is priced at $169,000. She also resides in a Beverly Hills mansion, reportedly worth $10.6 million. She also owns two Range Rover cars. She was also named one of People magazine's "50 most beautiful people," and she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Matt Damon's Tesla
Actor Matt Damon's Tesla Roadster is 100% electric and eco-friendly. The car cost the Film Actor's Guild member $100,000 and operates on a two-speed transmission (as long as it's in the highest gear). The Tesla Roadster gets 250 miles before it needs a charge. He first tried out the test model, which obviously affected his take on the car.
Damon said, "the 30-60 acceleration is like nothing else." Of course, he's not the only one who sports a Tesla. Other Tesla-owning celebrities include Ben Affleck, Cameron Diaz, Will Smith, and Leonardo DiCaprio. For those eco-conscious stars, it's just the right choice.
Jay Leno's Ecojet
With a car collection like Jay Leno's, you can't help but see his name all over the place when celebrities are linked with hot cars. Of course, Leno also owns a striking Ecojet, which is designed to run on biodiesel fuel. Inspired by a 1963 Chrysler turbine car and GM's 1950s Firebird, Leno collaborated with General Motors to build a custom high-tech supercar. He can afford to get what he wants in a vehicle.
As you'd expect in one of the cars in Leno's fleet, the two-seater has two LCD screens on the dashboard and speech-recognition software. And, of course, the exhaust runs on fine cooking oil. Your burning question is about speed, though, right? And, that can top 245mph (theoretically). Of course, there's been no word on whether Leno has actually been seen traveling that fast on the race track.
Jay-Z's Exelero
You didn't think Queen Bey would be the only member of her royal family to own a flashy car, did you? Her husband, Jay-Z, owns this Maybach Exelero. The rapper's Exelero is rumored to have cost him a ridiculous $8 million. But, then, it's also been featured in "Otis" by Kanye West and Jay Z, so it had to be just right. This hot car is a two-seater coupe.
You could reach speeds of up to 200mph if you were ever allowed to take a drive. Of course, the high price tag also means that he's in an exclusive club of owners. Few could afford it. His entire car collection has been valued at well over $15 million.
50 Cent's Lamborghini
Rapper Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, had a Lamborghini Aventador just like his fellow rapper, Kanye West, except that this Aventador is detailed in a cobalt-blue color wrap. 50 Cent reportedly paid $300,000 for his luxury vehicle. It's all been a blur, though.
Hot on the heels of losing a lawsuit in which Lavonia Leviston claimed that he intentionally leaked a sex tape, and a $5 million judgment, his lawyers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2015. Before that filing, he appeared #15 on the list of "25 Biggest Car Collectors in Hip-Hop." The New York Times also did a profile on him, which said that he had "exceptional business instincts."
Mario Balotelli's Camo-Car
Italian Soccer-Star Mario Balotelli bought a Bentley Continental in 2012 and then personalized it with a camouflage-print wrap. The estimated value of the Bentley is $175,700-215,000. He was in a car crash with an unidentified woman, while driving the Bentley, in 2012. The car was further defaced when a Manchester United fan sprayed fresh urine on the vehicle.
There are reports that Balotelli sold the car in 2013, but he told Sports Illustrated that he gave the car to his teammate, Urby Emmanuel. His teammate took off the custom finish, returning the car to its standard white.
Farewell To The Drophead Phantom
Is anyone surprised that David Beckham's blacked-out Rolls Royce was as hot as he is? The Drophead Phantom is a customized piece of art with a bare-metal theme and 452-horsepower. Rolls Royce unveiled the Drophead in 2004, built to celebrate 100 years of the brand.
As you'd expect, the car has received rave reviews, inspired as it is by racing-yacht stylings. While it's ultra-luxurious and comfortable, it's also the perfect vehicle for celebs to use for everyday use. Yes, they do need to get around town. It was a one-of-a-kind car, but Beckham parted ways with the vehicle in 2012.
Samuel L. Jackson's Maybach
Samuel L. Jackson is one of the greatest Hollywood legends to ever have graced the silver screen. His equally-stunning Maybach 57S could put even Jay-Z's car collection to shame. The car comes equipped with champagne flutes and a mini-fridge.
He's got a lot to celebrate, as one of the highest all-time box office stars. He's the world's highest grossing actor, with an estimated $7.42 billion in 68 films so far, according to The Guinness World Records. Of course, now that Maybach closed its doors, Bentley has reportedly been courting Jackson and other Maybach owners.
