Cardinals Release Desmond Harrison Following Felony Arrest Warrant
Desmond Harrison has been released from his contract by the Arizona Cardinals. The NFL offensive tackle was released after an arrest warrant was issued for him in North Carolina. The warrant includes felony charges.
Among his charges are strangulation and assault of a yet-to-be-named woman. Charges were filed against Harrison on Tuesday and the team wasted no time in addressing the severity of the charges.
Following the release of the offensive tackle, the Cardinals did not release any further statement. Further details are also not available from police in North Carolina at this time.
Harrison was claimed by the Arizona Cardinals off waivers from the Cleveland Browns. In 2018 he joined the Browns as an undrafted free agent and started in eight games.
Following his release, the Cards signed defensive back Jalen Thompson to a four-year contract.
