Could Usain Bolt Play In The NFL?
Having one of the fastest men ever on your NFL team could give you quiet the advantage, but would it ever happen? Usain Bolt has revealed that he's received multiple offers during his career to play in the NFL.
The former Olympic sprinter revealed the information during an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
"I got a lot of offers to go to the NFL. It was something that scared me at the time. I think it's better now," said Bolt. "Back then, it was really a rough sport. If it was like it is now, I think I would probably transition and try to play in the NFL."
The 33-year-old said he received offers to play wide receiver after both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
"I think I'm too old for it now, but I really enjoy watching the NFL. I’m a Green Bay Packers fan," said Bolt.
Bolt retired from sprinting in 2017. He played soccer for a brief period in Australia before retiring from sports altogether in 2018.
