Nick Bosa Is Already Hurt
Nick Bosa made the right decision to sit out his final year of college at Ohio State to recover from an injury and prepare for the draft. Little did he know that as soon as he got on the field with the San Francisco 49ers he would get hurt again.
On Thursday it was announced that the number two overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft suffered a hamstring strain. The injury will sideline him several weeks, although he should be healthy for training camp.
The good news for the Niners is that the strain is considered a grade one, which is the lowest level of strain possible. The bad news is that the injury adds to Bosa's track record as an on-field concern. Like his brother Joey, injuries have limited his ability to play at full capacity more than once.
Proving he can stay healthy is going to be a big hurdle to leap over for Bosa to start his career. His core muscle injury took nearly a year to fully heal, and now his hamstring issue will limit his conditioning ability. By the time he does get back in a defensive huddle, he'll have missed nearly a year and a half of football activities!
