Tyreek Hill Won’t Be Suspended By The NFL
After a four-month investigation into the parental life of Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, the NFL has decided not to suspend him. Hill was put under the microscope after an allegation that he broke his three-year-old son's arm earlier this year. In concluding their investigation, the league determined there was not enough evidence against Hill to warrant punishment.
For Hill, this isn't the first time he has found himself in hot water. In 2014 he pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge against his pregnant girlfriend. The incident, which happened while he was in college, made him nearly untouchable during the 2016 NFL Draft.
Kansas City decided he was worth the risk of a fifth-round pick, and have been rewarded by his incredible on-field production since. Off the field, however, has proven to another issue altogether.
The good news for Tyreek Hill is that an 11-minute piece of audio that his fiance secretly recorded seems to be what saved him this time around. In the audio, Hill is heard denying anything happened, despite his fiance's efforts to goad him into admitting what she claims happened.
While the NFL has closed the case for now, an investigation law enforcement is still ongoing. If new evidence emerges against the star receiver, the NFL plans to re-open their own case.
