Winning a big tournament or a single game can fill you with pride and joy. These trophies can then take that pride and joy and leave a lasting reminder of your win that you might want to hide in the closet. These are the ugliest and oftentimes most bizarre sports trophies that have been claimed by professional athletes.
The Chinese Grand Prix Trophy Is Super Extra
Mercedes AMG Petronas driver Lewis Hamilton of Britain took home the trophy at the 2014 Chinese Grand Prix and it's definitely a sight to behold. The trophy looks like it's part championship trophy and part art project that was created by a second-grader who didn't put much effort into the design process.
Either way, Hamilton won the trophy, and every single time he sees it he likely now thinks, "I'm a winner, I think."
The Mexican Open Trophy Is Not Edible Or Pleasing On The Eyes
Rafael Nadal of Spain took home the Mexican Open trophy in 2013 and it's something we're sure he'll love staring at for the rest of his life. Winners at this tournament are given a traditional Mexican mariachi hat before pictures are taken with their trophy.
Nadal seemed to enjoy the trophy and pretended to take a bit from the strange-looking avocado shaped symbol of his win. David Ferrer could have taken home this beauty but beating Nadal is no small feat of athletic prowess.
You'll Go Bananas Over This Tournament Prize
British cyclist Mark Cavendish won a stage at the 51st Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey in Antalya on April 26, 2015, and his trophy was a ton of delicious ripe looking bananas.
It might not be the prettiest tournament trophy but it's enough to ensure he keeps his potassium levels up for the rest of the 8 stage race that extends along the Turke Mediterranean and Aegean coasts that finishes in Istanbul.

Philippe Gilbert of Belgium and Team Deceuninck-QuickStep / Celebration took home this unique trophy after winning the 117th Paris-Roubaix, a 257-kilometer race that extends from Compiègne to Roubaix.
The trophy is exactly what it looks like, a giant stone that has been polished to give it a blue hue. The trophy was created by a local family-owned stonemason business. Winners get to take home their own smaller version of the trophy as a reminder of their victory.

There is a good reason for the trophy's design. The tournament is hosted by golfer Tiger Woods and it benefits his charity, The Tiger Woods Foundation. Why the Tiger is stroking a globe instead of a golf ball, we may never know.

The trophy was originally presented to England cricket captain Ivo Blight during the 1882-1883 tour in Australia. After he died the trophy was willed to the Marlyebone Cricket Club. According to Wikipedia, "The urn has come to be strongly associated with 'The Ashes', the prize for which England and Australia compete in a Test series between the two countries."
This Trophy Isn't Unsettling, Not At All
